But wait there’s more - If you buy the game, you’ll be able to receive free DLC costumes for Athena and Apollo.
The available costumes will be a fashionably adorable Trés Bien waitress outfit for Athena and a… less fashionable, but equally adorable outfit of Apollo’s high school uniform for the latter. Both of which were nicely advertised and featured in each other’s respective videos:
There has been no news of a DLC costume for Phoenix himself, but the Japan release of the game included one belonging to Furio Tigre from Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney: Trials and Tribulations so fingers crossed, this will be announced in the remaining days til launch.
Set after the events of the previous installment, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Dual Destinies (2014), the Spirit of Justice story introduces players to the nation of Khura’in where the rules of the courtroom take a new turn. The game will be bringing back many old faces such as Maya Fey, an old time favourite and companion to Phoenix, along with some new faces such as Nahyuta Sahdmadhi, a spirit medium who also takes the stand as the new prosecutor. Along with old and new abilities, the game will be a good time for new fans to pick up the series as well as a throwback for the longtime players.
Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Spirit of Justice will be digitally released in the Nintendo eShop for $29.99/£24.99/€29.99. With the DLC costumes being completely free for the first week of launch, it makes this digital release worth a look. If it appeals to you be sure to get it and delve into the over the top, absurd world of court that can only be found in the world of Phoenix Wright.
